Your Role as a Parent or Guardian

Babisy is designed to help families connect with babysitters, but families must take an active role in ensuring safe childcare arrangements.

Babisy is a platform that facilitates connections and does not provide childcare services or verify all user information.

  • evaluate babysitters independently
  • verify information provided in profiles
  • determine whether a caregiver is suitable for your family
  • supervise and manage childcare arrangements

Review Profiles Carefully

Before contacting or hiring a babysitter, review the information available on the profile carefully.

  • experience and background
  • availability and communication style
  • profile completeness and consistency
  • incomplete or vague profiles
  • inconsistent information
  • profiles that appear misleading

Communicate Through the Platform First

Babisy recommends using platform messaging first so conversations stay more organized and easier to review.

Ask detailed questions about experience, expectations, and availability before making arrangements.

Avoid sharing sensitive personal information too early.

Verify Identity and Background

Before confirming any childcare arrangement, consider taking additional verification steps independently.

  • requesting identification
  • asking for references
  • speaking directly by phone or video call
  • conducting your own background checks where appropriate

Meet in a Safe Environment

Before hiring a babysitter, arrange an in-person or virtual meeting in a safe and comfortable environment and observe how the babysitter interacts with you and your child.

Start with a Trial Period

Babisy recommends beginning with a short trial session, supervised interaction, or another limited arrangement before committing to ongoing childcare.

This can help families assess fit before moving forward.

Set Clear Expectations

Clear communication helps prevent misunderstandings and supports safer arrangements.

  • duties and responsibilities
  • schedules and availability
  • emergency procedures
  • house rules and boundaries

Protect Your Personal Information

  • avoid sharing sensitive personal details unnecessarily
  • do not share financial information through the Platform
  • be mindful of what information you include in your profile

Trust Your Instincts

If something feels off, pause communication, ask additional questions, or decline or discontinue the interaction.

Your judgment is an important part of the decision-making process.

Report Concerns

If you encounter suspicious behavior, inappropriate conduct, or safety concerns, please report it to Babisy.

Reports are taken seriously and may lead to action, including removing users from the Platform.

Emergencies

Babisy does not provide emergency services. If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services right away.

Important Disclaimer

Babisy provides a platform for connecting families and babysitters but does not conduct background checks, does not verify all user information, and does not guarantee safety, identity, or suitability.

All childcare arrangements are made at your own discretion and risk.
